RunRev has released version 5.01 of the cross-platform development LiveCode, a tool that allows you to develop desktop applications and also for mobile devices, including iOS.

LiveCode offers a high performance graphics engine through which you can build applications that take advantage of special visual effects. The graphics engine relies on OpenGL and can handle sprites, textures, backgrounds that flow, manage collisions, vector graphics in various formats, video and multichannel audio, etc..
Regarding iPhone OS is supported in-app purchasing system purchase and specific features of the iPhone and iPad. The tool is also useful during prototyping because it makes it easy to change the visual elements and debug, in a more simple compared to what you can do with JavaScript or Objective C.
With the same tool you can create applications for Android, Web, PC, Mac and Linux.
