Real Studio 4 2011 release enhances support for the Cocoa framework

The latest version of multiplatform development tool continues to focus on quality with more than 200 improvements. Significant improvements on the Cocoa-based framework (with 60 other bug fixes): many projects simply will work once compiled with it. This release also greatly improves support for graphics and printing on Linux.

Punctual as a Swiss Watch, Real Software announced the usual set of update that are released every quarter for Real Studio. Real Studio 2011 in new release 4-updating both the web and the desktop-contains more than 200 improvements and 26 new features, including the best support in Cocoa for Mac OS X (even if the feature is still in beta and so declared will remain until the Release of Real Studio 1 2012). This release also greatly improves support for graphics and printing on Linux. Among the notable features include:

  • Improved support for Cocoa: significant improvements have been included on the Cocoa-based framework (with 60 other bug fixes): Many projects will work only when compiled with it.
  • Alpha channel: graphical objects now have support for drawing with opacity colors everywhere with ability to manage opacity and transparency in a comprehensive manner.
  • Improved printing on Linux: high resolution prints on Linux can be sent as Windows or Mac OS X.
  • Improved graphics on Linux: The graphics on Linux now supports the linear design, anti-aliasing, transparency, and hardware acceleration.
  • Improved ODBC support: "Prepared Statements" are supported by ODBC improving safety.
  • Portuguese support: Real Studio's interface has been translated also in Portuguese.
