OnLive for tablets and Smartphones

Been a while since we promised the gaming service OnLive cloud would be compatible with tablets and phones, but we've reached the end of the tunnel and will be available tomorrow for IOS and Android application that opens the doors of the service.

onLive

This week the company has been showing OnLive running in a large number of devices, such as iPad 2, Motorola Xoom, HTC Rezound, and even Kindle Fire, but awaits approval by Amazon.

Support will be given both through WiFi and fast data connections, and OnLive will be accompanied by a remote wireless controller. We can move the controller and play directly on the touch screen in the 25 games they have endured, for a total catalog of nearly 200 titles.

The price for the two markets that has been submitted, United Kingdom and United States, is 40 pounds and $50, respectively. Applications are free, but logically need to be registered in the service to access the games.

onLive Controller

For those who walk a little lost, OnLive is a service that bases its operation on remote servers, which makes the process of the games, leaving the device (computer, tablet, phone ...) where we are going to play like a terminal.

Some games ready for the touch screen are Dirt 3, Defense Grid Gold or Darksiders, and download the application for the first time have access free of charge to LEGO Batman: The Videogame.

The developers say that they are working on a version for Google TV, that the Android option is already available in Market, but both iOS and Kindle Fire waiting approval to enter their respective shops. It will be interesting to see how they shop within the application IOS.
