Apple's Smartphone market share for 12 weeks before the end of November rose in the United States up to 36 per cent (last year-25%) and in the United Kingdom from 21% to 31%, the report said Kantar. And in Britain, while the iPhone 4S and other smartphone models sold by Apple (including the iPhone 3GS, released 2.5 years ago), entered the top 15 most popular, Samsung Galaxy S II took second place.

Kantar notes that the Smartphone market in Europe is currently dominated by gadgets on the Android platform from Google. And here's the iPhone 4S in Europe grew rapidly because of the deteriorating economic situation and the relatively high price of a smartphone.

In France, Apple lost 9% of the market fell from 29 to 20% and in Germany with 27 to 22%. Similar ratio in Spain and Italy.

In Germany over the last 12 weeks, the share of sales of smart phones on the Android platform has reached 61% of the market, with sales leader is the Samsung Galaxy S II, told Sannibo.
