Apart from the 9th generation Archos and the alarm clock tablets Archos 35 Home Connect, the French company also showed us a curious Dect terminal for home or office, the Archos 35 Smart Home Phone.
The storage memory around 8 GB we can add another 16 on MicroSD cards. The operating system is Android 2.2 Froyo and WiFi connectivity lets you download all the applications that are used in the operating system from Google. No information about the updates.
The terminal has a microUSB charging cradle that connects via a radio signal transmitter (the black box of the photo). This transmitter that plugs into the phone outlet and allows us to enjoy our landline but with the advantages of a smartphone-type terminal. The device could also support IP calls. In fact, it would be enough to install Skype.
The Archos 35 Smart Home Phone is a good idea for the home. As well as incorporating resistive support, the screen displays a resolution of 272 480 pixels, a very low figure for 3.5-inch diagonal that is translated into pixels as crabs. On the other hand, the finishing of the terminal is similar to the clock.
Too bad, the screen theme, which perhaps could solve in a second version. The Smart Phone Home will be available in October or November at a price of $200, enough for a smartphone, perhaps too much for a wirelessunless it is luxury.
