Apple has released an update for Java principal mete aimed to solve some vulnerabilities that could endanger the user's data. The update is intended for those who have installed Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.x and OS x Lion 10.7 later.

The release notes also refer to an improvement of the reliability and compatibility in General.

Java for Mac OS X 10.7 Update 1 updates Java SE 6alla version 1.6.0_29 while Java for Mac OS X 10.6 Update 6, updates Java SE 6 release 1.6.0 _29.

Both updates are available via Software Update or you can download directly from the Apple support Web page.
