Apple recruits one of the best experts in the field for the enormous datacenter that has built in Maiden, North Carolina. That is the former Yahoo! Scott Noteboom
Noteboom's name is not well known to the general public, but among industry experts is a very respected figure, in the past has dealt with various aspects of server farms, by design, their implementation and management. His ideas have been applied in several Yahoo data centers around the world that the current state of things is one of the flagships of the giant of the Internet, allowing them to reduce substantially the cost of management.
Apple in recent months had also been touched with Kevin Timmons, general manager of Microsoft data center, but at present it is unclear whether the latter is now working for Apple or not.
