Apple had planned a MacBook Air with AMD processor

The popularity that has won the Apple MacBook Air left it clear. Apple needed to care more for the computer with more frequent updates and a well adjusted price. That should have caused that in Apple Labs have done tests looking at all possibilities, and it seems that one of these possibilities was a MacBook Air with AMD processor.

SemiAccurate has stated that Apple had a model of MacBook Air using the processor AMD Llano and which had much more graphical power than the current model Intel i5/I7 processors with integrated graphics. However just before this model came into production the company decided to opt for the current model with the Intel Core.

We do not believe that the reasons will ever know, but since the source suggest that provide the most popular Apple computer processors would have been an effort perhaps too big for AMD.

Macbook Air

Interestingly this happened just last spring when the rumor of Apple computers with AMD processors went to the media. It is also curious that in addition to testing with AMD processors, Apple also has been considering the possibility of a MacBook Air with A5 processors of the same House.

Everything to get more power in less space and less energy expenditure, focusing on the computer that is considered by the brand of the Apple as the basis for the future of all its computers. Who knows, maybe next year we have interesting surprises [SemiAccurate]
