Windows Phone Connector 2.01 is the new software version for Mac OS X that will interface with Windows Phone devices and with the Zune HD for synchronization of multimedia files, photos, videos, music and is also useful to download and install updates.

The update fixes some bugs, supports synchronization with Aperture, enables the ability to import files by dragging from Search on your phone, supports the transfer of ringtones, offers an improved video conversion process, supports the Windows Phone Marketplace.

Other improvements include backup and restore operations, configuration synchronization of podcasts and the import of photos. Microsoft does know that have been resolved connectivity problems with some devices and those relating to the display of album covers on some devices.

Windows Phone Connector 2.1 is free to download from the Mac App Store.
